Look a little deeper---racism is as diabolical today as it was 40, 50, 100, or 300 years ago.  Today instead of being bitten with a growl, the racist bit you with a smile. Either way its the same, and the subjugation is my misfortune.  Prejudice, discrimination, and the arrogance of the powerful institutions are bigger than the appreciated advances this society see's and thinks is an definite advancement.  Brother Eric, we "almost" did overcome many civil rights hurdles--FYI to this day most of those victories are being repealed and or totally abolished. YES, the majority have come to realize the prejudice and discrimination people have inflected on homosexuals, and thus the laws have change---needless to say, it isn't a true reflection of what bigots are saying behind their back--and some in their face. Hypocrisy and hypocrites, people are full of it!!  You speak to some of these conditions here on your site.   Dixiecrates in both houses are not concerned with civil or human rights. Politicians are concerned with sustaining the "INSTITUTIONS AND THE INSTITUTIONALIZATION of the policies that keep them and their kind in power and control; i.e., your life, my life and any persons life that will oblige the suppression, oppression, manipulation and damnation of self-control (something you are knowledge into). YOU say it best, "THE SUPER RICH OWN OUR GOVERNMENT." "THEY HAVE ALLOWED US TO THINK WE CAN VOTE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE."  Literally, I agree a shift is taking place.  Figuratively, I rest my case.   You have 15 million seekers---seekers of what?  You seem to be stuck on "people not being indoctrinated into the church (whats significant about this---I'd like to hear your view);" does this denote you want them to be indoctrinated into your doctrination?  I have to remind myself, coming from different schools of thought, you and I will not agree on every subject.  The subject of spirituality, what's your credentials?  The American and African descendant spirit in me feels' that revolutionary spirit you talk about, vibrating at 186,282 miles per second.  I cant help myself, I dont have the same choice as you (it would be a mere flight from reality to think otherwise---do you acknowledge that as a White man in this country you have a given privilege that I dont? Don't twist it, you personally are not responsible for the circumstance, yet you are a benefactor--and since it is what it is, that cool!  I have no excuses for failing!!!!!!!  I am a winner, in spite of "ALL"), I must be a powerful/knowledgeable/intellectual influencing factor in the destiny of life.  Dig this:  POETS, PRIESTS, AND POLITICIANS, HAVE WORDS TO THANK FOR THEIR POSITIONS, WORDS THAT SCREAM FOR YOUR SUBMISSION, AND NO ONE'S JAMMING THEIR TRANSMISSION, CO'S WHEN THEIR ELOQUENCE ESCAPES YOU THEIR LOGIC TIES YOU UP AND RAPES YOU---THE POLICE.  Until...

Lord Allen and Eric...You are both right!   However Lord Allen I am with you ...it is not happening Fast enough.....and still a Long way to go.  "How many Roads must a man walk down before he is allowed to be Free...."" I really don't think we can continue this conversation any further.  Your assertions, assumptions, historical inaccuracies, incorrect characterizations, etc... I just don't have the time.  Best of luck "Lording" over your conclusions.  I cannot speak to a mind that is not open.

This is not Hay House, this is not Course in Miracles, this is not a "Law of Attraction" site.  I am about inquiry.  The site is about inquiry.  Everything is not relative and everyone is not right.  An intelligent mind is a discriminating mind.  I appreciate your good intentions in trying to be diplomatic, but that is not needed here nor is it helpful.  I don't need 15 million people to come to the site.  I would rather have 3 that are serious about inquiry.  To the extent that this conversation is about opening up our perspectives and questioning, deeply inquiring, I'm down.  But what "Lord" is saying is simply stating one's conclusions.  There is no inquiry going here, only assertion of a belief system.

Bette, thats my point---in this so-called democracy---a so-called free society, PEOPLE ARE STILL BEING DISCRIMINATED AGAINTS, CHEATED, ROBBED, DICTATED TO, MURDERED, TREATED LESS THAN HUMAN.  AND AS A POINT OF INQUIREY FOR YOU BROTHER ERIC, HERE IN 2011 THIS USA SOCIETY IS  AS RACIALLY SEGREGATED TODAY AS IT WAS 40, 50, 60 YEARS AGO. Yelling something ignorant in all caps does not make it less ignorant. 

 

Anyone can come to conclusions, adopt a belief system and assert it.  Do not confuse this with intelligence.

True!!!  It doesn't make you a bitch because someone calls you a bitch.Yet, it does make you ignorant when you respond like a bitch.  FYI, the caps were a moment of difference---sorry you were offended.  Again, you are right, anyone can think he/she is this or that---why don't you have any conclusions? Assumptions are a penny a dozen. I assume I have pissed you off---now is the time to let your spirituality shine. My friend, later.

What? who suspended him? didn't know you could be suspended? suspended from what by the way...Global One TV? NOT FAIR! I happen to like him. I am not trying to be diplomatic here....you both had a point....There have been some changes,definitely for women and African americans ..Hispanics...that is true...However Lord allen had a point too ....There is still along way to go.  For me what is not going fast enough is the Inquiry. The only Real change comes from inside and it is Awakening your Consciousness to the Realization that None of this is permanent anyway.....Maybe these things are wake up Calls from our own Consciousness...If we are all One and All is One ....then we are simply sending messages to our Collective Self to wake up! When we finally give up the distractions and the struggles....we surrender control of Life ....surrender to the Divine or Light or our True Self. You can not Enlighten others unless you are Enlightened......all you can do is affect small changes...apply bandages...If you can Love the Inquiry into the Self . ..If you Realize your Self ...see the Light and you can shine That Light in the world...Show another how to do tThat for themselves....then you have affected the world, That is True Compassion and Lasting.

I liked Lord Allen because he reminded me of my brother who died 2and half years ago...   He would rant and rave and nothing would Ever happen fast enough or was fair enough in this world and no one was smart enough....he lived fast and passionately and wanted know everything right Now.....and now i think maybe on some level he knew he had a lot of living to do if he was going to die young...he was sooooo impatient....one time he was standing and hollering in all caps and just ranting ..no one could calm him down...suddenly this Love surged through my heart so strong for him ..I jumped up and ran over to him put my hand on his heart and said " I love you ...you are my favorite brother....he stopped stunned and this huge peace came over him and his eyes lighted up huge grin and sat down and began to talk tenderly...Love is the answer... i see him in my heart all the time
