Inward Revolution Creates Outward Revolution
If you consider yourself to be on any kind of spiritual path, you very likely have had a tendency to be too hard on yourself. You try not to think negative thoughts, to avoid judging others, to avoid "sin". One definition of the word "sin" is "separation from God". We want to avoid our dark side and become of "how we are supposed to be". This way of thinking occurs probably…
Over a long enough period of time, the survival rate for your body is zero. Contained within the body is the brain and one of the functions of the brain is the ego. The ego is the self concept of the brain-body organism and it…

The newer popular alternatives to religion, that come in the form of new age spirituality such as "The Secret" are just as loony as the promise of heaven for the believer, and a lake of hellfire for the nonbeliever. This ever so intoxicating form of…Continue

The recognition that essentially you are the world, that there is no subject/object split, that there is no separation between you and "all that is" - this realization, even at the conceptual level, changes consciousness. When this realization gets…Continue

I mean this metaphorically of course, but if there is an Anti-Christ, his greatest deception was to lead people to believe he exists in the future when in fact he lives in the past. His name is Abraham and out of him came 3 violent religions that…Continue

Organized religion has contributed greatly to an overall global atmosphere of fear - the fear of others, the fear of a great lake of hell fire that awaits the nonbeliever. It holds back our collective consciousness and it holds down our collective…Continue

When it comes to the subject of Enlightenment I am no authority. I do not possess special knowledge nor do I profess to speak to you now from some elevated state. On all matters Divine there is but one authority and that is The Great Mystery.
Enlightenment is often said to be a state of conscious communion with Divine Source.
According to some spiritual traditions this state is something of a finish line. One's existence is seen to be a cycle of birth, death and rebirth as one's soul…

With each passing day, as I look inward and as I take in what is going on with the world outside, my heart opens. And the more it opens the more I understand why I have kept it shut for so long. The more my heart opens, the more I understand why the world has closed its heart.

I find it harder and harder to criticize the world from a place of anger or disappointment. The screwed up world and the screwed up self are not only reflections of each other, they are one in the same. I am the suffering and the beauty and everything in between - not as some new philosophy but as a felt…

BY DR. AMIT GOSWAMI: Quantum physics in the form of its famous observer effect (how an observation transforms quantum possibilities into actual experiences in the observer’s consciousness) is forcing us into a paradigm shift away from the primacy-of-matter to a new paradigm: the Primacy of Consciousness. Quantum Activism is the idea of changing ourselves and our societies in accordance with the transformative and revolutionary message of quantum physics. This change is taking its cue from the emergence of a new paradigm within science; the paradigm of a consciousness based reality as articulated by Quantum Physics.
So what are the transformative messages of quantum physics? First, consciousness is the ground of all being, and all objects of our experience (sensing, thinking, feeling, and…

Allan Watts once commented that "It is not possible to see the sky just by painting your window blue". It is a quote that has stuck with me ever since I read it many years ago.
And it occurs to me that the blue paint masquerading as the sky is every single philosophy out there. Every doctrine, every religion, every single explanation that tries to satisfy that deep longing we have to understand the Mystery.
The blue paint is belief. The blue paint is faith. The blue paint, as pretty as it may be, is not the sky itself. And no matter how convincing or even intoxicating that picture on the glass of the window in your room…

It's the end of the world as we know it, fortunately. Creation and destruction are the same thing, but appear different depending on where you are standing. All of my talk about OCCUPY simply stems for a concern about suffering imposed on others.…Continue

BIG PICTURE: If we pull back far enough from the minutia and look at the broad strokes, what is happening in the world today is in fact a Mass Awakening. People are waking up spiritually, politically, gaining more access to education, demanding…Continue

And Ollie is right about Hicks. He is / was profoundly funny.
I am very pleased to have found you!
Eric why is the live stream down?
Consider this: Do you know Bill Hicks? If you have, you can stop reading right here, but if not: He is the guy who would have started the actual revolution, the revolution he preached, if he had lived long enough. His message is strikingly similar to yours, only wrapped in biting cynicism and sharp witted criticism of everything that is usually considered wrong in this world by people like you and me. They call him the "bullet in the heart of consumerism, capitalism and the American Dream;[...]one of the few people who may be mentioned as being worthy of inclusion[...] in any list of unflinching and painfully honest political philosophers.”
The Man is my Hero. I mention him as many times as possible, because I feel that he IS the message that i think needs to be heard. I thought I'd let you know.
PLUS, the dude is SCREAMINGLY funny.
Thank you for your invite, I find quite hard that people are only now starting to see what the power elite are doing to the world, it has been going on since time began, nobody seemed to care when all the Mines Engineering Factories Steel Works & Textile Mills were shut down and Thousands of Men were told to get on there bikes by Norman Tebbit, Thatchers Hatchet Man, The Government put all there Trust in the Banks what a joke that was, Manufacturing was what could have helped us now, the Germans new it then, they must have been laughing there heads off as usual, our Leaders let us down again and again Jobs for the boys and girls, and passed down from father to son and daughter not ability as it should be that is the ploblem of this country. Not the Working man as is allways portrayed. I have worked with all the different nations workers and soldiers and brits act well so do others, its the leaders we lack time and again. Michael Leach.
Will you republish my recent blog post?

Hopefully this is not going to change!

Would love to see a blog on the topic of connecting in a digital age. I liked Tiffany Shlain's quote from the preview of Connected the Film:
"For centuries we've been declaring independence, and perhaps it's finally time to declare our interdependence"
