Small steps and I feel better
I'm a a path to reduce my suffering. The process of confronting happens repeatedly. Last night it was very cold with beautiful blowing snow. Was having a wonderful dinner out with my dad. Today he is 80; what a wonderful accomplishment. Driving back home I had the nightmare thought of my 21 year old grandson freezing to death and I should call him to make sure he was alright: grandma to the rescue. This was suffering. If a book guides you, my feeling is that such a book would not be as reliable a guide as love. Best to follow the heart, even foolishly at times, if one is to be a real human being.
