What if?

This past week I have been hearing of the "end of the world as we know it is coming tomorrow...May 21, 2011 at 6pm.....wow...quite a statement!  After meditating, which I have done or tried to do regularly for many years, I started to think about this..what would I have done, said, differently in my life;  did this all need to come about after this type of revelation in the news?  When one thinks of all the catastrophies that have happened,  and still happening, all over the world, it would be…See More

Memories...and, one of my reasons for belief in reincarnation..

I just turned onto the Ellen DeGeneris show, which I love by the way, after meditating and sleeping most of the day--in all honesty, mostly sleeping, because as I have mentioned in my latest post, which really is my "reality"..awake or sleeping?:)..anyway, she started to talk about a card trick and all ended up with was, "which was real", or something of that nature...all this started me thinking of when I was about 8 years old, around April or May, right before my father died when I was 8…See More

Judgement--let us give thanks each day to when we do not judge another...

"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong". Gandhi---"We need to find God, and He cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence...see how nature--trees, flowers, grass, grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and sun, how they move in silence---we need silence to be able to touch souls." The "In-Betweens" of Life

It is so important when we realize we are eternal beings, that we can let our awareness to live in the moment with a positive attitude happen---when life comes along, (as it does with each beat of our heart) it has a way of taking turns we didn't plan ourselves or want--they could be job, family, health, anything related; sometimes, it's very hard to always live with a positive attitude--again, LIFE interferes---BUT,what if we didn't even exist? Yes, I know, we wouldn't be aware of… Continue

A Conveyor Belt of Life

This first day of 2010, I find myself looking back at my life and it seems like I'm watching a "conveyor belt" of actions, thoughts, belief systems, even my "world view" on life in general----all the things I see on my "belt" changed from year to year, some degree, here and there; wish I could have "picked and choosed" those "belt" choices, views, deeds, with much longer thought, consideration of others given to it/them---life could, and perhaps would, have turned out differently for… Continue

The Infinite Peace that is Nothingness

"If you throw a rock

at something solid,

that solid thing will be damaged,

it will be hurt.

But if you throw a rock at air,

the air is not damaged nor hurt.

The air is unchanging.

Similarly,

if you realize your true nature

of nothingness,

that nothingness is…

A Story about the Buddha

This is from a recent Satsang/Meditation

which can be heard on this youtube video here

"I've heard a story about the Buddha

and that when the Buddha attained enlightenment

he was just silent.

He didn't say anything.

And the story that I heard was

one of the Gods or Angels

came down and said

'Why are you silent?

We want you to say something.'…

How to Witness this Moment

"How do you witness this moment?

By allowing it to be exactly as it is.

You do not get involved with it,

dramatize it, analyze it

or try and change it.

You just let your experience

be as it wants to be in this moment

and in that allowing,

naturally there is…

Satsang Excerpt "Ocean of Joy"

This is an excerpt from a recent satsang.

You can hear it by playing this youtube video.

"You can get to that place where

there's just the purity of consciousness.

It's completely clean.

There is no 'you' allowed in it.

It's extraordinary peace.

You relax into consciousness,

you relax into the energy,

you relax into…

Become Fixated on Awareness Itself

"One meditation method would be

to become completely enamored

with consciousness;

to let your attention be

completely fixated on itself.

Whether you experience

consciousness as being,

or as the witness,

you let your attention

rest fully in that.

Usually…

In Consciousness, There is No "I"

"In pure consciousness,

there is no 'I.'

There is the absence of any object or subject.

And that is profoundly peaceful;

profoundly satisfying.

A feeling of completely being at home.

Yet that peace is not there for a me.

If you bring a 'me' in there to enjoy that…

How to Move Deeper into Silence By Spending Time Alone

"It is good to spend

an extended period of time alone

if you are able.

When you are alone

and not distracting yourself

with social media, emails or phone;

when you give yourself the time

to live simply without a lot of stimulation,

then you can really move deeply
