Thanks for the welcome. Have just had time to read with great interest your article about religious beliefs. Oddly enough I agree with your analysis 90% - where I differ is that although I understand your condemnation of all religious beliefs by condemning these beliefs so vehemently you have inadvertently become the same as them.

The word religion means 'Way of Life' and it is not always the cause of wars so much as used as an excuse to start one. The problem is I feel not so simple but quite complex and covers not just religious differences but all differences. eg nothing to do with religion but you see someone acting or behaving in a way that is totally abhorrent to you and totally opposite to the way you personally would have acted in their situation - all too often the human reaction is to condemn them because they are different.

To aid understanding someone acting or having beliefs alien to your own it is important to realise that if you had been born them and they had been born you it would be you acting and believing as they do and in a way you are condemning yourself.

I don't know if I have expressed myself very clearly as am just writing this off the top of my head. The point I am trying to make is that until we can (as human beings) learn to live with and tolerate differing beliefs from our own there is no possible chance for peace to flourish
and instead of competing with everyone we should all be helping each other and not feel threatened by anything or anyone. Will this ever come to pass? Your guess is as good as mine.

Nothing personal in this I am just so frustrated at the lack of moral leadership from world leaders who seem obsessed with greed and power! I fear that if this situation doesn't change very soon anarchy and all its evils will consume the world.

If it does, no matter what our individual beliefs it will be difficult to save mankind from destroying themselves.
