Global One TV: A Blog for Mystics - by Eric Allen Bell

Inward Revolution Creates Outward Revolution

Hi, just noticed what a high vibrating place this joint is: I've been working on about 9 other sites, putting my energy there and I'm glad I didn't get deleted here for not showing up for so long!
Eric has great blogs. Just some personal reflections about what I'm doing nowdays besides singing my head off every nite. A bunch of wild homeless cats adopted me. These are cats that got abandoned and are roaming around hungry.
I used to see a group of about 6 running through the empty lot, like a wave, they were in search of survival, just running, running, running and flashing by my eyesight, all different colors, all frightened of human contact, still knowing that a human was their best bet for survival.
The feral cat has a life span of 2 to 4 years as compared to a domesticated cat can live to be perhaps 18 yrs.

Now that group I suppose was trapped and killed at the local animal shelter. I spoke with them about the problem of feral cats breeding and then being eventually rounded up and killed due to they have learned to not be people friendly and so termed not adoptable.

I have been gathering signatures online at CareTwo petition site and I would like to share my happiness I have 600 signatures and only 400 more to go! To get TNR in my region, which is the humane solution for these cats, rather than killing them, as if they are a pest to be exterminated, instead the idea is to provide low cost spay and neuter for about half the population here is low income people. TNR means trap, neuter, release. They live out their lives then and no more kittens are born which cannot all be adopted into homes because of the extensive number of kittens which animal control has to deal with.

28 states already implemented TNR for the problem is worldwide with their quick breeding they do.

I cannot afford to fix my 14 cats, btw Arizona, they're not my pets, they are wild animals that live in the environment of Arizona and they are not leaving, and I know there may come a day a neighbor will call animal control to come and round them up as pests. Yet I will continue to work to get this other option going for future generations of feral cats in this area. As there's this uncanny way mother nature has: you remove one colony, and VIOLA! a few months later another colony miraculously appears! It's called the mysterious vacuum effect. Mother nature hates a vacuum.

Wow, it's like reincarnation! The cats are snickering. So, you thought you'd gotten rid of me did you?

TNR saves taxpayers money because everytime we kill a cat, it cost money to do that as well as dispose of the carcasses and the toll it takes on the emotional lives of animal control officers is that they don't like their job so they develop a crusty attitude towards all life in general. Like, who would want such a job in the first place?
Because some of us have to have money to live. It's that simple. Don't blame animal control for the killing. It's the current system. We can change the system with more humane ways of handling the cats.
San Diego has a neuter van! For $10 you get your cat fixed, then no more colonies roaming about hungry, skinny, and sometimes diseased. In one single year, they reduced the rate of Euthanization of these cats by a whopping 77,000!

Every year we put down in the US all total between 30 to 60 million mostly healthy dogs and cats.
I think we need to change that.
Please sign my petition, and I'll circulate that thing and then maybe I can get on with my real passion, singing, these little dudes and dudettes are taking a big chunk of my energy and time. I need help.

What is Spirtuality? 15 Replies

What would you consider spirituality? Is it a sense of self, or perhaps its a sense of our surroundings? I have no opinion in this, I would just like to hear your answers of what you consider to be spirituality.Continue

Your Own Personal Jesus 74 Replies

Anything a person says about the true intentions of Jesus are pure speculation. He never wrote anything down. NONE of us have any idea what he actually said, what he meant. You can make Jesus into absolutely ANYTHING you want to believe him to be. But that does not make it true. More people have died in his name than any other.…Continue

Inside of All Things There Is a Stillness 2 Replies

Up until fairly recently, I went through most of my life thinking about what I thought the world owed me and what I could get from it. Then a transformation began, one which is very much still playing out - evolving, and I experienced something of a shift in perspective.Without giving it much thought, my natural inclination has been to consider what I owe the world and what I can give it - as it has given me everything and always does.…Continue

Wishful Thinking: A Cheap Alternative to Inquiry 37 Replies

The newer popular alternatives to religion, that come in the form of new age spirituality such as "The Secret" are just as loony as the promise of heaven for the believer, and a lake of hellfire for the nonbeliever. This ever so intoxicating form of delusion is simply more escapism - a new belief system to impose upon reality, in order to avoid true, honest and courageous self inquiry. In this form of wishful thinking the egoic mind is "meant" to have whatever it visualizes and this gets…Continue

The Head, the Heart and What it Means to See 16 Replies

If a book guides you, my feeling is that such a book would not be as reliable a guide as love. Best to follow the heart, even foolishly at times, if one is to be a real human being. My heart tells me that the world is in a desperate state of crisis right now. I feel driven to stand up and do my part to try to lead where I can, and to reduce suffering where I can, and to never lose sight of the reality that it's not really me who is doing any of it. The human experience is but a fraction of who…Continue

The Jewel of Enlightenment is hidden in the lotus. Sure. But it's also hidden in the BMW website and in the faces of all the starving children. The Jewel of Enlightenment is hidden at WalMart and in the heart of your worst enemy. The Jewel of Enlightenment is hidden in every star and in every subatomic particle. The Jewel of Enlightenment is hidden in plain sight. The Jewel of Enlightenment is You.…Continue
