Global One TV: A Blog for Mystics - by Eric Allen Bell

Inward Revolution Creates Outward Revolution

I’m an avid reader, particularly of spiritual books or work that Goddess has led me to. Religion has never had much meaning for me. It was always the wonders of nature that made me connect with God. Jesus was a teacher. He was a son of God, but NOT the only way to God and not the only son of God. It’s been hard for me to conform with the beliefs that Jesus was the only way to salvation when I have seen the best of God in other people and, sometimes in myself. Religion and the whole “Christian” way of life, the past 2000 years, in the age of Pisces was perhaps a way to a higher understanding of God, but humanity’s mental illness and desire to conquer sort of distorted some of the original teachings. But that’s another story.

Rules keep us captive and under control of others who impose the rules. So religion never had much place in my life. Magic however, that was another thing, because magic is all around us, in the air we breathe, the people and animals we love, and in everything, that has LIFE in it.

I just finished reading a book titled “The Shack” by William P. Young. It’s a novel but it brings to light a different vision of God and sort of breaks the traditional “Christian” barriers of exclusion rather than inclusion. The story is about a man who goes camping with his family and loses his youngest child to a brutal serial killer. Evidence of her brutal murder is found in a broken down shack several miles from the camp site. Four years later, the man receives a note in the mailbox from God inviting him to revisit the shack. In his conversations with God, he discovers that redemption and forgiveness is the key to freedom.

For those who take the Bible as truth, this book may not go “down” well. It tends to imply that God is permanent good-humored and serves us pancakes for breakfast. But to others who are becoming more awakened to THE SHIFT going on the planet. This book, along with many others is perhaps Goddess’ way of speaking to the masses.

This book is not the first “Conversations with God” sort of book, there have been many others, and more and more philosophers and “unknowns” are coming out of the woodwork with bestselling books that started off as cranked out copies from Kinko to blockbuster megahits creeping into the hands of the masses.

The story behind The Shack may be more interesting than the book itself. If one is so inclined, one can see the hand of Goddess working. The author originally wrote the book for his children, his wife urged him to write down his beliefs and philosophies. Then the book turned into something else, something more. It became a delicious combination of suspenseful horror mixed with eye-opening theology not often explored by traditional Christians. After printing a few copies for family and friends, the book’s word-of-mouth success started bringing in the BIG publishers until it finally appeared on the New York Times bestseller list. The Celestine Prophecy also started in such a fashion and became a hit. Eckhart Tolle also self-published his work. Louise Hay started off with a small pamphlet she sold to churches and ended up with a publishing empire. Their “unexpected” success could be attributed to God and usually is by these authors and lightworkers.

In this Shift in our humanity, more and more writers, teachers and spirit workers are gathering to bring the masses to a higher level of understanding. There are many paths to God, these books are just one of many paths. But I’m convinced Goddess is speaking to us, the Universe is helping us understand more and more, through books, movies and the random acts of kindness we do for each other thus allowing the whole “shift” to take place.

What is Spirtuality? 15 Replies

What would you consider spirituality? Is it a sense of self, or perhaps its a sense of our surroundings? I have no opinion in this, I would just like to hear your answers of what you consider to be spirituality.Continue

Your Own Personal Jesus 74 Replies

Anything a person says about the true intentions of Jesus are pure speculation. He never wrote anything down. NONE of us have any idea what he actually said, what he meant. You can make Jesus into absolutely ANYTHING you want to believe him to be. But that does not make it true. More people have died in his name than any other.…Continue

Inside of All Things There Is a Stillness 2 Replies

Up until fairly recently, I went through most of my life thinking about what I thought the world owed me and what I could get from it. Then a transformation began, one which is very much still playing out - evolving, and I experienced something of a shift in perspective.Without giving it much thought, my natural inclination has been to consider what I owe the world and what I can give it - as it has given me everything and always does.…Continue

Wishful Thinking: A Cheap Alternative to Inquiry 37 Replies

The newer popular alternatives to religion, that come in the form of new age spirituality such as "The Secret" are just as loony as the promise of heaven for the believer, and a lake of hellfire for the nonbeliever. This ever so intoxicating form of delusion is simply more escapism - a new belief system to impose upon reality, in order to avoid true, honest and courageous self inquiry. In this form of wishful thinking the egoic mind is "meant" to have whatever it visualizes and this gets…Continue

The Head, the Heart and What it Means to See 16 Replies

If a book guides you, my feeling is that such a book would not be as reliable a guide as love. Best to follow the heart, even foolishly at times, if one is to be a real human being. My heart tells me that the world is in a desperate state of crisis right now. I feel driven to stand up and do my part to try to lead where I can, and to reduce suffering where I can, and to never lose sight of the reality that it's not really me who is doing any of it. The human experience is but a fraction of who…Continue
