Global One TV: A Blog for Mystics - by Eric Allen Bell

Inward Revolution Creates Outward Revolution

Some people call it an addiction
but its not
Some people call it a drug
but its not
Those who don't smoke just don't understand why I love it
Its not just the fact that I get high
Its the weed itself
The incredible smell of a new bag, the fluffy, squishy buds
the dark green leaves, bright orange hairs, sprinkled with a heavy coating of THC
That is beautiful
There is nothing beautiful about a needle in your arm or a pile of white dust on the table. Those are drugs, i just smoke weed.
You can be creative with weed in more than one sense. Weed makes your thoughts creative, clear, organized and especially more deep. Other than that, a weed pipe is a beautiful thing. Some pipes are more a work of art than a smoking device, which of course is amazing to look at when you're stoned. There are hundreds of different ways to smoke as well, there are pipes, bongs, steamrollers, vaporizers, chillums, sherlocks, Gandalf's, bubblers, joints, blunts, and many derivatives of each. And one of the best parts about a pipe is the color changing ability it has. Many pipes change colors as more resin sticks to the walls of the glass. The more you smoke out of it, the more colors appear, its great to watch a pipe change over time. That is one of the many reasons why i smoke, its just something you could never experiance outside of weed.
A grinder is a wonderful invention in the world of weed. you grind up your weed and some kief falls to the bottom. when i twist off the top of it, and see how much has collected over time, i immediatly scrape it and see how much it will pile into. then i scrape around the whole grinder, and an hour later i am lost in my mind in a state of complete peace. Its incredible to lose yourself while playing with your weed and grinder. It must be the same feeling somebody feels when rearranging a Zen Garden.
So now the question is why do i smoke as much as I do? Is it really an addiction? Or even a dependency, maybe, but whats the harm in it? Why do people see it as such a bad thing? I am happiest and most calm when i am high. not like i can't have that when i am not stoned, but its different. I am almost always happy either way, and the way i see it, the only thing i am doing wrong is breaking the law, and i am ok with that. Plus now that i am in college and smoking probably 50% less than i did over the summer and last year, i think i am still doing great. i still smoke everyday and i love every minute of it. Its a great thing to look forward to in a day. Another great thing about weed is the social factor. people love to smoke weed with other people. its relaxing, its a great conversation maker. people never shut up when they are stoned. everything seems like a great idea. everything is serene. oh and ironically i was not high while writing any of this.
I am a stoner and i am dam proud of it!!

Ha ok i see your point, but I dont think a simple chat habit mistake can be blamed on the weed. It is kind of an ironic statement with a typo like that, ha

What is Spirtuality? 15 Replies

What would you consider spirituality? Is it a sense of self, or perhaps its a sense of our surroundings? I have no opinion in this, I would just like to hear your answers of what you consider to be spirituality.Continue

Your Own Personal Jesus 74 Replies

Anything a person says about the true intentions of Jesus are pure speculation. He never wrote anything down. NONE of us have any idea what he actually said, what he meant. You can make Jesus into absolutely ANYTHING you want to believe him to be. But that does not make it true. More people have died in his name than any other.…Continue

Inside of All Things There Is a Stillness 2 Replies

Up until fairly recently, I went through most of my life thinking about what I thought the world owed me and what I could get from it. Then a transformation began, one which is very much still playing out - evolving, and I experienced something of a shift in perspective.Without giving it much thought, my natural inclination has been to consider what I owe the world and what I can give it - as it has given me everything and always does.…Continue

Wishful Thinking: A Cheap Alternative to Inquiry 37 Replies

The newer popular alternatives to religion, that come in the form of new age spirituality such as "The Secret" are just as loony as the promise of heaven for the believer, and a lake of hellfire for the nonbeliever. This ever so intoxicating form of delusion is simply more escapism - a new belief system to impose upon reality, in order to avoid true, honest and courageous self inquiry. In this form of wishful thinking the egoic mind is "meant" to have whatever it visualizes and this gets…Continue

The Head, the Heart and What it Means to See 16 Replies

If a book guides you, my feeling is that such a book would not be as reliable a guide as love. Best to follow the heart, even foolishly at times, if one is to be a real human being. My heart tells me that the world is in a desperate state of crisis right now. I feel driven to stand up and do my part to try to lead where I can, and to reduce suffering where I can, and to never lose sight of the reality that it's not really me who is doing any of it. The human experience is but a fraction of who…Continue
