Forgiveness and the Freedom of Letting go

In modern times, military strategists study biblical wars. When Kind David conquered a village, he not only killed all of the men, he slaughtered all women and children. To what end? God didn't incite any war or killing. Man's free will did that. Ours is to recognize that there are no evil souls, only humans that make terrible choices. And we all have made at least bad choices. NO killing, by man's hand is justified, or the will of God. Forgiveness is not a grace for humans to extend. By forgiving, you're making a declaration that 'I recognize your actions; I accept that they negatively impacted me; I release the personal burden of that negativity without temptation of vengence or retribution. God forgives with grace and love for the sinner. Mankind forgives for the sake of their own soul's growth.

Some resentments run so deep. I would love to just let them go, but I feel like I am going to have to dig and hack away at them because they have become a part of me. It is a worthy task and I will make it a priority in 2010. Thank you for the inspiration.

I know, that throughout my life, I have hurt people one way or another; this video, for me, is asking forgiveness from anyone that I have caused pain of any kind...please look at it with an open heart and maybe even learn to forgive yourselves so that you may heal yourselves too....
